Dr Nic Rogers
Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Rogers is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He specialises in complex adult hip and knee replacement surgery and has a keen interest in foot and ankle disorders as well as general orthopaedic trauma surgery.
Dr Rogers hails form KZN where he matriculated from the prestigious Hilton College.
He completed his undergraduate studies at WITS university after which he relocated to Cape Town to start training as an orthopaedic surgeon. In 2019 be proudly became a specialist Orthopaedic surgeon, being awarded his masters dissertation Cum Laude from the University of Stellenbosch. His research is internationally published in the American Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
After obtaining his post-graduate qualifications he spent time in the United Kingdom, at the world renowned Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital, gaining invaluable training in disorders of the foot and ankle.
He subsequently returned to Cape Town to complete his life long dream of becoming a hip and knee replacement surgeon, completing his advanced Fellowship training at Tygerberg Hospital.
He holds a part time position at Karl Bremer Hospital, where he pioneered a novel hip and knee replacement service. He enjoys teaching junior doctors and making joint replacement surgery more accessible to those in need.
Dr Rogers is renowned for earning the trust of his patients with his thorough attention to detail and friendly bedside manner. He has a holistic approach to orthopaedic care and will always explore the non-surgical options of treatment before turning to surgery. He believes in an effective, team-driven rehabilitation plan which helps patients return to their active lifestyles without impediment.
In private practice Dr Rogers consults from both Milnerton Mediclinic and Rondebosh Medical Centre.
